Bundu Adventures 2-3 Days Rafting in the Batoka Gorge Rafting

Extend your rafting experience with our 2-3 days adventure, experience the most exciting and challenging rapids rafted anywhere on the planet! The Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls is widely considered to be the very best rafting river in the world. A deep channelled, high volume river, the Zambezi has class 3 to 5 rapids interspersed with tranquil pools.

Day 1
Pick up by our vehicles directly from your accommodation (time to be advised at booking). Your gear for the overnight will be loaded into our vehicles. Snacks on the side of the river at Rapid 10. Upon arrival on the beach at Rapid 21, the camp will be ready. Dinner and overnight on the beach around a campfire. Wake up at around 6am. Tea, coffee and breakfast. Rafting from Rapid 21 to Rapid # 25 or further on to Lower Moemba

Day 2
2nd night on the 3 days trip just below the Upper Moemba Rapid.

Day 3
Drive back to Livingstone through the African bush in a 4WD vehicle, crossing several traditional Zambian villages.

August To January

Departure Times: runs only during the Low Water Season (August - January), dates on request. Fitness Level: Average fitness is required. There is some easy rock scrambling involved in this activity. Minimum age limit of 15 years. Pack: Sandals, Running shoes or tennis shoes that don’t mind getting wet (no flip-flops!), Sun cream. Quick drying shorts. Personal medication if required.

Bundu Adventures Rafting Rafting

Raft the world famous rapids ominously called 'Stairway to Heaven', 'Terminator' and 'Oblivion'. This is white water rafting at its best! Overnight on remote white beaches, dinner under the stars... A unique adventure in a unique setting. Plus you can also try your luck catching the notorious Tiger Fish

  • Picnic lunch is served on the way

  • Dinner and breakfast is prepared on the campfire by our cook.

5 overnights on white sandy beaches next to the river in the beautiful Batoka Gorge.

August To December

Departure Times: please enquire - trips on request (from August to December, depending on the water level) Fitness Level: Average fitness is required. There is some easy rock scrambling involved in this activity. Minimum age limit of 15 years. Pack: Sandals, Running shoes or tennis shoes that don’t mind getting wet, sun cream, quick-drying shorts. Sleeping bag, pillow, towel, clothes and personal medication for 6 days Pick up by our vehicles directly from your accommodation (time to be advised at booking).

Bundu Adventures Kayaking Rafting

Adrenaline and nature collide when kayaking on the Zambezi River. If you are a confident whitewater kayaker with experience in class 5 rapids then come and paddle the mighty Zambezi with your own kayak or hire out from us. (The equipment is included in the price.)

  • Return transfer to Livingstone after the trip

  • Paddle from rapid # 1 - # 10 (half day morning) or # 25 (full day), or from # 10 -# 25 (half day afternoon)

  • Porters carry down your equipment to the bottom of the gorge

  • Transfer to the river

  • Pick up from your accommodation in Livingstone

The cost is for a full day worth of equipment hire. You are free to create your own experience.

Livingstone is situated in southwestern Zambia, on the shores of the Zambezi River bordering with Zimbabwe. It welcomes many visitors heading towards the Victoria Falls. The Zambezi river is home to incredible kayaking, rafting and sporting pursuits. The best place to relax, unwind and get a hit of adrenaline all during one holiday!

Food

Zambia may not be synonymous with fine dining or world-renowned cuisine but food in the local area is fresh well prepared. With plenty of fish, meat and veggies.
