Rio Grande River - Colorado Rafting

Prepare yourself for an adventure trip that you’ll surely remember for years! Conquer the exciting rapids of Rio Grande while enjoying scenic views. You will be responsible for booking your lodging. Recommended hotels are Airport Plaza Inn Midland Texas or Econo Lodge for pre and post-trip. Rooms come with a queen size bed, wi-fi, complimentary breakfast and cable tv.

Pre-trip meetings will be conducted to finalize details and requirements. On the day of the river trip, you will be responsible for your transport from your lodging to the meeting point. Once at the river launch site, get ready to enjoy your whitewater rafting adventure! After the trip, Dvorak Expeditions will either take you back to your hotel in Midland Texas, shuttle you to the midland airport, deliver you to the place where you left your car or arrange to have your car shuttled to the take-out (extra cost).

On the day of the river trip, you will be responsible for your transport from your lodging to the meeting point in DVK Nathrop base or Parkdale launch site. Once at the river launch site, get ready for a fun day of rafting! At the end of your day, Dvorak's van or bus will either deliver you to the place where you left your car or return you to your lodging or arranged drop off point.

Antero Hot Springs Cabin is a great option if you want to unwind after a long day. They offer a private pool as well as a massage service which is perfect after a full day of rafting. Every cabin can accommodate up to 4 people. It comes with a fully furnished kitchen, 1 queen and 2 twin beds, freshly roasted coffee, and scenic river view. The Thomas House B&B is also recommended for its homey ambiance and 360 degrees mountain view. They offer 1 hot tub, private bath, and homemade breakfast. If you want to stay in a hotel then Grand Vista is the place to be. Every room is complete with modern appliances and fully-fitted mattresses. High-speed wi-fi is provided as well as a complimentary shuttle to the Airport, Amtrak or Greyhound.

Food

Breakfast, lunch or dinner are included in the package rates but will depend on the duration of your package. They offer a heavy breakfast consisting of fruits, French toast, eggs, fruit juices, pancakes, cereals, sausage, and bacon. A scrumptious lunch is also served buffet style, offering a variety of sandwiches, salads, meat, cheeses, and drinks. A typical dinner consists of BBQ steak or baked fish, teriyaki chicken, fresh vegetables and salads, fruits, bread, hors-d'oeuvre, and juices.

Conducted for 3 days at $ 435 per person Technical Rope Rescue Course- teaches technical rope rescue for over-the-bank situations to vertical cliff and structure rescues. Conducted for 4 days at $705 per person Teenage Whitewater Camp- teaches river skills and safety techniques needed while giving students the chance to negotiate many rivers and improve their abilities in a variety of crafts. Conducted for 15 days at $ 1595 per person. River Raft Guide Training- teaches technical white-water strokes. Intended for those pursuing a professional guide certification for commercial use. Conducted for 14 days at $1350 per person (non-employment) or $750 per person (employment) Technical Rope Rescue Course- teaches technical rope rescue operations. Conducted for 4 days at $705 per person
