Crouching Tiger Hidden Gods Hiking

This hike passes through green forest, over lush grassland and alongside rushing streams. Eventually, you'll reach the edge of the plateau and be rewarded with sensational views of the surrounding mountains, coffee plantations and rolling fields. After a short break to re-gather your energy, it’s time for the push to the summit where fantastic 360 views await.

Hour 1 - Pick Up
You will be picked up from your hotel or resort by our Muddy Boots team and driven to the activity site.

Hour 2 - The Hike Begins
The hike begins through green forest, over lush grassland and past rushing streams.

Hour 3 - To the Plateau
Next you'll reach the edge of a plateau where you'll be rewarded with fantastic views of the surrounding coffee plantations and rolling hills. Here you can take a short break to enjoy the scenery and re-energise with a snack or two.

Hour 4 - 360 Views
After a short break it's time to push to the sumit. Here you'll be rewarded with fantastic 360 views of the surroudning mountains.

Hour 5 - Reaching the Top
Having succesfully completed the climb it's time to begin the descent back down to the designated meeting spot.

Hour 6 - Drop Off
After comleting the hike you will be transported back to your resort or hotel.

Trevor and his 3 Sisters Hiking

This walk begins at the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary before winding through the jungles of Rajasthan. The steepest section of climb lasts only 30 minutes and offers spectacular views of the surrounding Aravalli hills. On your descent, you’ll visit a nomad tribe in a local settlement.

Hour 1 - Pick Up
You will be picked up from your hotel or resort by our Muddy Boots team and driven to the activity site.

Hour 2 - The Hike Begins
The hike begins at the Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary where you can check your pack and gear before begining the hike.

Hour 3 - To the Jungle
You will then proceed upwards through the jungles of Rajasthan..

Hour 4 - Steep Incline
The hke then hits a 30 minute steep incline where you may pause to catch your breath and take in the spectacular views of the Aravalli hills..

Hour 5 - The Descent
Having succesfully completed the climb it's time to begin the descent back down to the designated meeting spot. En route you will stop off at a local nomad tribe to explore their settlement.

Hour 6 - Drop Off
After visiting the tribe you will be transported back to your resort or hotel.

Rambles at the Demon’s Feet Hiking

This walk begins at the foot of the Banasura range and winds upwards through the Shola forest, amongst grassland and past coffee plantations. Lunch is enjoyed at Frock Rock before following the trail back downhill.

Hour 2 - The Hike Begins
The hike begins at the foot of the Banasura range. green forest, over lush grassland and past rushing streams.

Hour 3 - Forest Views
The hike then continues upwards through the Shola forest and amongst grassland. You'll enjoy views out over the neighbouring coffee plantations and rolling hills.

Hour 4 - Frog Rock
Upon reaching Frog Rock it's time for a short break and a spot of lunch.

Hour 5 - Reaching the Top
Having succesfully completed the climb it's time to begin the descent back down to the designated meeting spot.

Hour 6 - Drop Off
After comleting the hike you will be transported back to your resort or hotel.

About the location

Accommodation

Muddy Boots day hikes don’t make use of any overnight accommodation, as such you can stay in any nearby resort and we’ll pick you up bright and early and depart for the climb.

Location

Hiking routes depart from multiple locations across India including Wayanad, Coorg, the Malabar Coast and Rajasthan. Water-based activities are exclusive to Wayanad, and the Malabar Coast, hiking is available in all four destinations and biking excursions are available in all locations except Rajasthan.

Food

When passing through villages, the tour likes to stop at locally run, small, restaurants to ensure our visit benefits the community. Large chains are not on the cards but delicious home cooked Kerala lunches most certainly are.
