Go Mountain Gorilla - Uganda - 3 Days Wildlife

Day 1 Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable national park

Depart Kampala early morning stopping along the way for lunch. There are many sights to enjoy between Kampala and Bwindi so stop whenever you please. Expect to reach your Bwindi Lodging late afternoon. Enjoy your dinner in comfortable surrounds and perhaps see a Gorilla or two. Rest and relax in preparation for your safari tomorrow.
Day 2 Gorilla tracking

Enjoy an early morning breakfast before heading into the mountain mists with your park rangers who will escort your Gorilla trek. Enter the impenetrable forest, with lush flora, vibrant birds, and exquisite animal life. Be alert and vigilant, prepared to see marvellous sights and magnificent Mountain Gorillas. Meet the Gentle Giants face to face, talking to them, observing them just a few metres from your group, take some photos of mothers feeding their babies, or their other daily routines. A once in a lifetime opportunity to get this close to Mountain Gorillas. Return to your lodge, and take the opportunity to sample some traditional village life. Enjoy dinner and relax after a long and fulfilling day
Day 3 Travel back to Kampala

Breakfast at the lodge before beginning your return journey to Kampala, stopping for lunch and other sightseeing. Reach Kampala late in the day

Day 1 Arrival & transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Your Gorilla Tour Guide will meet you at the Kigali airport and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. Visit the genocide memorial museum, the Nyabugogo market, a pottery project, the Moslem quarter in Nyamirambo and the Franco-Rwanda cultural centre. Enjoy dinner and an overnight at the lodge.
Day 2 Gorilla tracking

Enjoy an early morning breakfast and head into the jungle with lush flora, vibrant birds, and exquisite animal life. Be alert and vigilant, prepared to see marvellous sights and magnificent Mountain Gorillas. Meet the Gentle Giants face to face, talking to them, observing them just a few metres from your group, take some photos of mothers feeding their babies, or their other daily routines. The time you will spend tracking the gorillas is unpredictable and it may take as few as only 2 hours on a good day yet it may even take you 8 hours before you meet these great apes. Day 1 Travel to Fort portal

Journey from Kampala to Kibale National park for your Chimpanzee Tracking experience. Enjoy a 5-6 hour drive through the ‘Pearl of Africa’ with beautiful crater lakes, waterfalls and panoramic sights. See people going about their daily lives, and the living culture of Uganda as you pass farms and tea plantations. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing stay in our lodge at Fort Portal
Day 2 Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale National Park

Enjoy breakfast and drive to Kibale National Park for the Chimpanzee and primates trekking in the forest. The trek may last for 2 – 4 hours depending on the movement of these primates. This walk is restricted to three groups of six persons each. In the afternoon visit Bigodi village for either the famous swamp walk where you will see a diversity of bird life species including the blue Turaco and primates at close range. Or take a community walk to appreciate and get acquainted with the local culture. In the evening drive back to the lodge.
Day 3 Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for Uganda Gorilla Tour

Enjoy breakfast then journey to the home of Mountain Gorillas in Uganda; Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Arrive in the evening to check in at your lodge and perhaps take a guided walk to the waterfalls and village. Relax and enjoy dinner at the lodge as you prepare for the gorilla trek in the Impenetrable forest the next day

The national museum is well worth a visit, and do not miss out on experiencing the Kasubi Royal Tombs a historical shrine to the Kings of Buganda a wonderful mystical and inspiring vision. In a similar vein is the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, providing a valuable insight into Christianity in Africa, and a chance for spiritual reflection. Of course, there are also more profane pleasures with an electrifying nightlife, great shopping options, and fabulous cuisine. For your next adventure, Kampala is ideally located in Central Uganda – meaning easy access to so many safari opportunities.

Food

If you are looking to try some Ugandan Cuisine then you will find plenty of options in Kampala as well as choices from other nationalities in the many restaurants. Ugandan cuisine has drawn from the many different cultural influences that have made their way to Uganda including Arab, Indian, and British all melded with local culture and crops. A local favourite is Matoke (banana) Curry. A very popular local dish that came out of the Indian diaspora. A wonderful harmony of Indian spice with the local favourite Matoke – a green cooking banana similar to plantain. If you want to bulk your curry out then order some Chapati - a wonderful flatbread. Or enjoy some of the ever-present Ugali - a cornmeal porridge similar to Polenta.
