Mesa Verde Full Day Tour Rafting

The most comprehensive tour of Mesa Verde National Park available! Our guide will customize the trip and add historical, cultural and archaeological insights as well as answer questions about the flora and fauna of the landscape. Choose from ranger guided tours, walks, overlooks and sites. Park entrance fees, ranger-guided tour tickets and a deli-style lunch are included.

4×4 Jeep Trail Tours & Packages Mixed Adventures

Spend time high in the rarefied air of the La Plata range of the San Juan Mountains just 15 miles west of downtown Durango. This open air 4×4 vehicle winds up and through La Plata Canyon for 14 rugged miles reaching the majestic views from Kennebec Pass at over 12,000 ft. Along the way your guide will explain the canyon’s mining history such as the vanished La Plata City town site from 1875 and hear about characters like Olga Little, one of the world’s only woman mule skinner’s. Also learn about the native Ute people, the areas geology as well as flora and fauna of the San Juan Mountains. Paired with our popular half day Animas River raft trip you can’t miss with this Durango classic: Raft & 4×4!

  • 1:30 Depart for your raft trip from our office. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure. Halfway through we will stop and have a most awesome snack of fresh fruit, chips & salsa and pure Weminuche Wilderness Water!

  • 8am Meet your 4×4 expert at the mouth of La Plata Canyon 16 miles west of Durango Take 160 west 11 miles to CO Rd 124 (Hesperus) Turn right and travel 4.4 miles. Park where the road becomes gravel in the Snow Plow Turn Around

  • Spend 4 magical hours in the mountains enjoying the lore and the views. Snack included

Upper Animas 2 Day Trip Mixed Adventures

2 Day Upper Animas Silverton & Needleton Stretches, Class III-V, 24 miles. This is the number 1 multi-day raft trip in the state of Colorado combining the Silverton and Needleton Day Trips with a night at our exclusive riverside base camp. After an intense day on the Silverton Stretch relax while the guides entertain and cook for you by the campfire. Day 2 starts with a leisurely breakfast in the morning before continuing down the river filled with long stretches of continuous Class III & IV whitewater. The day ends with the famous D&SNG train ride back to Durango.

  • Price includes train tickets, meals, all rafting equipment, wetsuits, and the best guides on planet Earth!

Sleep under the stars, camping with the group and your instructor adding another fantastic dimension to your experience.

Day 1:
07:30 – 08:00 ish: Meet and depart for Silverton from our office,
09:30 – 11:00 ish: Ready rafts, safety orientation, get dressed, launch trip,
11:00 – 12:00 ish: 6 miles of amazing scenery with several class IV Rapids,
12:00 – 15:00 ish: 6 miles of the real deal and some lunch,
15:00 – 06:30 ish: Take out, change clothes, luxuriate at the Needleton Bar & Grill, while the guides cook dinner, play horseshoes and chill by the riverside camp fire

Day 2:
06:30 – 12:30 ish: Breakfast, relax, load train, get dressed, launch rafts,
12:30 – 15:30 ish: 12 miles of awesome rafting and lunch,
15:30 – 16:30 ish: Take out, change clothes, load & ride train to Rockwood Station,
16:30 – 17:30 ish: Continue on train to Durango or drive back with us,

Recommended Gear for Rafting:
Swimsuit for under the wetsuit
Layers: synthetic shirt, fleece, underwear to complement the wetsuit
Socks: wool or synthetic to wear with the booties
Hat for under the helmet, sunscreen, sunglasses, water bottle

We have camp rentals available: Sleeping bags/pads $10/night and tents $10/night.
Upper Animas Trips Require:
A sense of adventure and an honest assessment of your physical condition
Reservations are required for all Upper Animas Trips so we can reserve the train
Experience & age requirements fluctuate with water levels
Upper Animas Trips have a mandatory orientation at 3pm the evening before your trip
Orientation for the Needleton Trip is waived when river is below 500 cfs at Silverton
