Dolphin Dalliance – Point Nepean Kayaking

Spend a day adventuring into the southern waters of Port Phillip Bay, to discover the splendid seaside towns of Sorrento and Portsea. Observe the rich maritime and colonial history as you stroke your way into the Point Nepean National Park. Dally with dolphins as you explore the dolphin sanctuary, paddling alongside these magnificent mammals of the sea. Marvel at the sea-birds with sea eagles, pelicans, pacific gulls and cormorants joining your excursion.

Starting from Sorrento, paddle your way to the Dolphin sanctuary stopping for lunch at the Point Nepean National Park. Return to Sorrento via Point King.

Families with children (not less than 12 years of age) may book, however, there would be a minimum charge as the tour/course date would be exclusive. Twilight Zone – Melbourne City Kayaking

Paddle into the very heart of historical Melbourne City. Explore South Bank and view a spectacular sunset over the ocean. Feel the vibrancy of Victoria’s capital city and port as you glide past the former customs house, historical ships, the mission for seamen, and crown casino’s explosive pyrotechnics. Spend 2.5 hours soaking up the best of Melbourne with a short break for refreshments and to stretch your legs.

Wave after wave of migration into Melbourne and Victoria has created a magnificent cultural hodgepodge - leading to a wonderful fermentation of culture and cuisine. Melbourne has long been famous for its fabulous coffee, and wonderful pastries. Yet ask any local and they will tell you there is so much more to Melbourne cuisine. From fantastic Vietnamese in Richmond to awesome African in Footscray, with Italian, Chinese, Greek and Jewish in between. You will find every possible flavour combination and delicacy your fevered mind can imagine. Of course, there are some home-grown Australian products and foods that you should experience. Being “a happy little vegemite” is a common saying in Australia, and you should try some vegemite on toast, remember to spread it thinly. If you need something sweet to wash down that vegemite then indulge in a lamington cake. For carnivores make sure you take the opportunity to try some kangaroo or emu meat.
