4 Days from Jasper to Banff Bike touring

Have the perfect balance of adventure and sightseeing with our 4-day cycling tour from Jasper to Baff. Follow the Icefields Parkway along long uninterrupted roads with incredible views along the way. Over 4 days you will stop at such notable sights as the Athabasca Falls, Columbia Icefields, Lake Louise and many more.

At each stop, you will have a bed for the night in a hotel with twin share or double room. You will wake up every morning to a breakfast buffet and enjoy a three-course meal every evening. Hotels along the way include the Sunwapta Falls Hotel, Crossing Resort & Lake Louise Inn. There is the option to upgrade your package to include a private room for the additional fee of $335 + tax.

Day 1 - Transfer to Jasper 56km
Starting off in Jasper at around 1pm, you will cycle the Icefields Parkway, stopping off at the stunning Athabasca Falls along the way before finishing in Sunwapta Falls for the evening.

Day 2 - Sunwapta Falls to Saskatchewan River Crossing 98km
The longest day of the cycling tour but arguably the most satisfying. The peaks and troughs of the hills will reward you with the Columbia Icefields, Weeping Wall and views of Mt. Wilson. You will finish the day in Crossing Resort hotel.

Day 3 - Bow Pass to Lake Louise 85km
Start the morning off right with a climb under the shadow of Mt. Murchison. You’ll then cruise for most of the day on flat roads with scenic views of either side. Bow Lake, Peyto Lake and Lake Louise await as reward for your efforts.

Day 4 - Ride into Banff/Canmore 60/85km
Ride along the historic Bow Valley Parkway into Banff. With gently rolling hills under the shadow of Castle Mountain it’ll be a delightful ride into the charming town of Banff at the end of the day. Those wishing to challenge themselves can ride a further 25km onto Canmore where at the end there will be a whole group lunch awaiting you.

Scheduled tours starting every Friday between start of June and end of August.

Included in this package is 3 nights of twin share accommodation at quality hotels, 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners and unlimited snacks along the way, van support during the ride and your luggage taken between each point for you, all national park fees, transport for you, your luggage and your bike to Jasper from Edmonton on day 1 and return transport to Edmonton via Calgary and Calgary International Airport from Banff on day 4, and a USB stick with high-quality images of the tour to take home with you.

Day 4 - Ride Sunwapta Falls to Saskatchewan River Crossing. (98 km)

Day 5 - Ride Saskatchewan River Crossing to Lake Louise. (85 km)

Day 6 - Ride Lake Louise to Canmore via Banff and Lake Minnewanka loop (100 km)

Day 7 - Rest day in Banff / Canmore area, relax / optional activities.

Day 8 - Ride Canmore to Kananaskis Villiage (63 km) + chill or additional activities.

Day 9 - Ride Kananaskis Villiage over high wood pass, highest paved road in Canada,(130 km)

Day 10 - Ride Longview to Pincher Creek (134 km)

Day 11 - Ride Pincher Creek to Waterton National park (60+ km), Pack up bikes.

Day 12 - Travel back to Calgary and Edmonton for flights home in the afternoon.

This ultimate adventure will challenge you physically and mentally and well as inspire awe as you see witness to the incredible nature and beauty around you.

  • Edmonton Airport to hotel transfers at the start of the tour, assuming similar arrival timing for most tour participants.

  • Transport for you, your luggage and your bike to Jasper from Edmonton on day 1 and return transport to Calgary International Airport hotel on day 6.

Food

Canadian food is typical of North American cuisine. At each point, you will benefit from a banquet's worth of food. Each morning you will be greeted by a breakfast buffet at your hotel, snacks and lunch are provided along the journey and in the evening there is a three-course meal to look forward to upon arrival. Dietary requirements can be accommodated to with advance notice.
