Pico Wine Tour Hiking

This Pico wine tour offers a fantastic opportunity to sample some of Portugals finest wine! The tour takes you back in time through ancient villages, past houses made with volcanic stones, until you reach some of Pico's best vineyards where you'll sample the local produce. Your guide will give you a winery tour and explain the history of the region in winemaking and the Pico wine culture. Along with your wine samples, you'll enjoy nibbles throughout the day, and a lunch stop at a local restaurant.

Pico Day Tour Hiking

On this guided day tour you'll unearth the history, culture, and customs of the beautiful Pico island. Get ready to contemplate the landscape of Vineyard Culture, immerse yourself in the islands Biodiversity, and visit a number of museums to brush up on the UNESCO World Heritage site and the areas whaling history. As you explore, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant, you'll enjoy views over the spectacular mount Pico!

Pico Mountain Day Climb Hiking

On this tour, you'll summit the mighty mountain Pico as you depart at the first light of the sun and head out on an epic trekking adventure. Mount Pico is the highest mountain in Portugal, stands 2351 meters above sea level, and is surrounded by breathtaking landscape - as you climb, your trusty guide will explain the genesis of the islands and the volcanic biodiversity of the region. Only one of our tours is an overnight expedition, and that's our Pico Overnight Climb. On this epic tour, you'll sleep in tents (provided by us) inside the crater of a volcano!

Location

Our Tripix Azores head offices are located on Pico Island and can be accessed by ferry from Horta (Island of Faial) in just 30 minutes.

Food

All of our tours include a lunch stop at a local restaurant on one of the islands. For information regarding food on our Pico climb tours, please get in touch!
