Dare to enter the Río Plátano Biosphere Reserve on the Mosquito Coast of Honduras. Breathe in air that has been filtered by the great lungs of Central America. Know as Central America’s Amazon - with enormous expanses of untouched jungle, wonderful wetlands and scintillating savannas. Journey through this magnificent landscape to find excitement and adventure. Discover the unique Native American cultures of the Mosquito Coast, in particular, the Garifuna people. Travel by raft, dugout canoe, whitewater raft, motorboat or even on foot – depending on the package you choose.

Short on time, then try one of the other ecological dream trips. There are plenty of outstanding ecological areas within easy reach of La Ceiba. Soak up the excitement as you Whitewater raft and zipline the Cangrejal river. Sleep and enjoy the comforts of the best Bed and Breakfast on the Cangrejal River – whilst exploring the startling ecology by foot. Prepare to get wet as you hike through the rainforest of the Pico Bonito National Park. Or set sail for adventure as you explore by boat the wetlands of the Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge.

Learn the ways of the jungle – it’s flora and fauna, it’s rhythms and cycles.
