Table Mountain offers an amazing variety of hikes. In fact a visit to Cape Town is not complete without a hike on Table Mountain. Whatever your age or fitness level Ridgway Ramblers will customize a hike to suit you and the time you have available.
Your Table Mountain guide Binny Ridgway was born and bred in the English Lake District, and developed a passion for “the great outdoors” at an early age. On leaving school having studied a B Eed in physical education, she spent 2 years travelling in Africa before stumbling across Cape Town deciding to stay.Qualified and registered as a white water river guide as well as an Advanced mountain walking leader, Binny has spent 20 years sharing her passion for nature with others. Her knowledge of the mountains of the Western Cape and especially that of Table Mountain is legendary, as is her knowledge of the indigenous flora and fauna of the area.
Choose between half day (2 to 4 hours) or full day (5 hours+) hike on Table Mountain. Also, choose between a scramble off the beaten track or follow a well-worn trail. You can also choose which side of Table mountain to climb up. From Kirstenbosch with its wooded steep gorges and views over False Bay, or from Camps Bay with its views over Camps Bay and the Atlantic ocean. Or go up the front of the mountain over looking the city, Table Bay and Robbin Island.
