About

General

Our epic sea-kayak adventures explore some of Tasmania’s most profound and beautiful waterways including those found in the Southwest National Parks. Not only do you get to soak up impressive sea views, you can also admire the surrounding mountains and rolling rainforests that encompass the waterways.

The owners

Roaring 40’s Kayaking is owned and ran by two local kayakers, husband and wife duo Reg and Jenny Grundy. The two have a deep passion for the sport and decided that setting up shop and offering epic sea kayak tours to visitors was the best way to share their passion. Alongside them, the duo has a handful of staff members all of which are as avid about kayaking as them and all are fully qualified in their fields. The dedicated team is here to ensure you have the most memorable (and epic) kayak adventure on their home turf.

Service

Expert and faultless guiding creating memorable expeditions!

What can I expect?

Every summer, our team of qualified and professional guides strives to provide an inspiring and exceptional adventure for every single one of our customers. We know the Tasmanian waterways like the back of our hands as the majority of our staff have all grown up here or kayaked around the area extensively. All our trip leaders are also qualified in sea kayaking and first aid qualifications and, despite the great outdoors being an unpredictable environment, we’ve maintained a stellar safety record. In the last ten years, we’ve only had to administrate plasters! We’re environmentally friendly too, we want to protect our homeland and would ask that you do too so we leave no footprints behind.
