The big, hollow breaks, strong currents, and frequent riptides here are definitely better suited to intermediate and advanced-level surfers, but you don’t have to be a pro to take on PR surf. It may not be the ideal place to learn, but there are always options for beginner surf camps, lessons, and schools.
